A little rain couldn’t dampen the fun as the Meridian Lauderdale County Public Library’s Spring Shindig continued Friday despite a few showers. The annual event provides families and children with a host of activities as local students near the end of spring break and prepare to return to class.

This year’s event brought back the popular Angie Hales Pony Tales, where children can interact with lambs, goats, cows, rabbits, chickens and more, as well as a scavenger hunt, photos with the Easter bunny, a blood drive, food trucks and plenty of books waiting to be read.
