Emmy Award winning cartoonist, director and producer Byron Vaughns has returned to his Southern-born roots after years of working at some of Hollywood’s biggest animation studios. In the February edition, Meridian Life magazine takes a look at Vaughns’ career, as well as features former Lauderdale County Sheriff Billy Sollie, college student Kennedy Grice who suffered a sudden cardiac arrest a year ago, Donna Owen and the Audubon Society’s Christmas Bird Count, the Around Town Carousels Abound community art project, Darrin Mitchell Jr. and his BTBY fitness initiative, Diamond Jim’s & Mrs. Donna’s Steakhouse and a new travel column, Along For The Ride, featuring day trips in Mississippi.
