Meridian Life: One man's dream to restore life to the Temple Theatre

In the October edition, Meridian Life features Roger Smith, a former pilot reporter for a Dallas TV station who moved to Meridian in 2009 to buy the historic Temple Theatre. A movie buff in his childhood days, Smith’s big dreams of restoring the once grand theater palace have faded somewhat over time due to dwindling resources and lack of community support. The magazine also features the 2023 Class of Top 20 Under 40, Mike Goldman Customs, local potter Stacy McInnis Blalock and Weidmann’s Restaurant. Meridian Life magazine, produced by The Meridian Star, is available at many area retail and business locations, as well as at the newspaper office in downtown Meridian while supplies last.
