Fans of the King of Rock and Roll can’t help falling in love with Elvis tribute artist Cote Deonath who will bring his high-energy show back to the Temple Theatre on Friday, Aug. 25.

Deonath has garnered a legion of devoted fans for his surprising resemblance and authentic depiction of the late crooner Elvis Presley.

He is an internationally acclaimed world champion Elvis tribute artist. Last weekend, the Florida resident also was named the 2023 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Winner during Elvis Week activities at Graceland in Memphis.

“He is the number one rated Elvis entertainer out there right now,” said Roger Smith, owner and general manager of the Temple Theatre. “He is the world’s best right now. He has all of the mannerisms of Elvis. He is so youthful, and he’s got all of the moves Elvis wanted to have, but did not have in his later life.”

For one performance only, Deonath will bring his epic tribute of Presley to the Temple Theatre stage, recreating the singer’s hit concert, “Elvis That’s The Way It Is 1970.” He will be backed by The Infinit-E Tribute Band.

Showtime starts at 7:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m. A representative from the Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Center will present a brief retrospective about Elvis and his ties to Meridian before the show.

Tickets range in price from $37 up to $68.

From “Suspicious Minds” to “Hound Dog” to “Blue Suede Shoes,” Deonath will perform many of Elvis’ most recognized songs.

“If you want to see Elvis Presley, then come to this show. It is a five-star show,” Smith said. “It is a real good show. He does all of Elvis’ hits.”

It will be the second time Deonath has performed his Elvis tribute show at the Temple Theatre, drawing between 800 and 900 to last year’s performance, Smith said.

The Aug. 25 show is nearly sold out, but tickets are still available. The Temple Theatre can seat 1,600 spectators.

Tickets for Deonath’s “Elvis in Concert” show can be purchased at the Temple Theatre box office, located at 2320 Eighth Street, or on the theater’s website, www.thetempletheatre.com.
