“We are very excited about the fair,” said DeShannon Davis, the assistant superintendent for human resources and compliance for LCSD. “Each year, this event has just gotten bigger and better, so we hope for the same outcome this year.”

Last year, Davis said the recruiting fair had 75 participants to show up that were future educators who wanted to work in the LCSD.

The district is encouraging anyone with an educational degree or interest in working for the LCSD to visit and talk to the principals and teachers to see what the district is about.

The district is currently looking for special education teachers, early education leaders and has positions open in any subject area at the high schools.

“Our principal is just looking forward to filling those openings with the best and brightest that this area has to offer,” Davis said. “This district is a great place to be, and the event is just a great time to meet everyone.”

“Make sure you bring an application with you, and about six or seven copies would work, and we’ll just have a fun time,” Davis added.
