Meridian police found a bag Wednesday that they believe could contain the remains of a body.

Police found the bag near a house on Crabapple Drive in Meridian after receiving a tip that a body was in that location, Chief Benny Dubose said.

The bag was taken to to the Mississippi Crime Lab where the contents will be determined, Dubose said.
