Jerry Lynn Williamson, 49, pleaded guilty to domestic violence, fourth offense, in the Lauderdale County Circuit Court Thursday, receiving 16 years under Mississippi’s habitual offender law.
A grand jury indicted Williamson on March 28 for domestic violence. The District Attorney’s office said in a news release that Williamson had prior convictions for aggravated assault and felony fleeing as well as a history of domestic violence.
Williamson entered a blind guilty plea after a jury was seated and 10th Circuit Court Judge Charles Wright sentenced him to 16 years.
