A Lauderdale County man has been arrested for sending explicit images of a child on a cell phone.

Carlos Alberto Lopez Jr., 20, of Meridian, faces two charges of enticement of a child to produce a visual depiction of a sexual nature, Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun said.

Calhoun said concerned parents called the department after finding inappropriate pictures  on their child’s phone. Calhoun said that Lopez was arrested based on that investigation.

Lopez was held on bonds totaling $5,000, and the case will be heard by a grand jury at a later date.
