• 4-9 p.m. – St. Patrick School Spirit Night at Raising Cane’s, 4-9 p.m. Join us at 6 p.m. to celebrate Father Augustine’s birthday with a cake. A percentage of the proceeds benefit St. Patrick School.

Thursday, May 16

• 11:30 a.m. – Brown Bag Lunch with Meridian’s own keyboardist Louis Ball in the courtyard at The MAX. The Mississippi Delta Tamales and Jump Start Coffee trucks will be on site. Free and open to the public.

• 11:30 a.m. – The Lauderdale County Republican Women will hold their monthly meeting on the second floor of Weidmann’s Restaurant with guest speaker Bill Waller Jr., candidate for Governor of Mississippi.

• 2 p.m. – Bingo at the Meridian Activity Center sponsored by Lauderdale County Council on Aging and Harper’s Hospice.

• 4:30 p.m. – K-6th Grade STEM (Balloon Cars) at the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library. Genealogy meets from 2-3 p.m.

• 5-9 p.m. – Earth’s Bounty plus The MAX present Night Market2. Night Market will feature live music by Mississippi artist Zechariah Lloyd. There will be beer, wine, artists, artisans, and farm vendors. Many food trucks will be in attendance as well; Aie’s, Jump Start Coffee, Cowboy Tamales Hillbilly Dot’s, and Farmer Jack Brown. Free and open to the public.

• 5-9 p.m. – Book Signing with Philip Shirley’s “Graceland Conspiracy” at The MAX. Books will be available for purchase.

• 6 p.m. – St. Patrick School presents its Spring Play – Meridian: A City That Will Not Die directed by local historian, Annie B. McKee. Join us as our students travel from the 1800s to present day that includes dance, song, and history.
