Michael Guest: Some in Congress should see full report

As the public combs through the publicly released portions of the Mueller report, local politician Michael Guest, the 3rd Congressional District representative, shared his thoughts on the report.

“First of all, I’m glad to see that the report has been released,” Guest, a former prosecutor, said. “There is information that may be classified or (from) a federal grand jury subpoena… these are the redactions that had to be made in order to release it to the public.” Federal law prohibits publishing information gleaned from federal grand jury subpoenas.

Guest said he supported releasing un-redacted information to the House Judiciary committee, which had the security clearance to handle sensitive information.

“I believe this needs to be the end of the investigation,” Guest said. “We have to believe that the individuals in charge did a thorough investigation.”
