“He went back inside and got his weapon and was struck twice in the leg,” Dubose said. “He said he doesn’t know who it was that was waiting for him.”

Police reported gunshots hit the man, a residence and a vehicle.

The next day, someone found a man lying outside a residence on the 600 block of 49th Avenue around 10:40 a.m with a bullet wound in his thigh.

“He said he was walking down the street when someone with a weapon approached him. He said, ‘If you’re going to shoot me, shoot me.’ And a person unknown to him shot him,” Dubose said. “But this individual is not cooperating with investigators. He said he didn’t know what the other man was wearing or his race.”

Dubose said both investigations are under investigation.
