A house was damaged but no one was injured during a fire late Saturday night in Meridian.

Firefighters responded around 10:45 to a call on the 2700 block of 45th Place in Meridian, Meridian Fire Department Deputy Chief Jason Collier said.

No one was home during the fire and the possible cause might be from an electrical source, Collier said. The home sustained fire damage and the bedrooms were damaged by smoke, Collier said.

The fire is being investigated, Collier said.
