A new smartphone app designed to help young people struggling with depression, bullying, drug use or other issues is now available.

The attorney general’s office released the app called Students Against Violence on Monday. The app connects students dealing with thoughts of suicide or domestic violence situations to local and national resources.

“This information isn’t new, we’re just presenting it in a new way to students who do everything from the palm of their hand,” Attorney General Jim Hood said in a press release.

The app is available for free for iPhone and Android phones at studentsagainstviolence.app/ms/home.html
