First State Bank announces promotions

First State Bank has announced the following promotions.

Jeffrey B. Lacey has been promoted to Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Lacey, a native of Kosciusko, is a graduate of Mississippi State University. He also attended the Mississippi School of Banking, ABA Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma, The Southeastern Commercial Lending School at Vanderbilt and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.

Lacey has more than 30 years of banking experience and has held several senior management positions at other Mississippi banks. He is active in a number of community and professional organizations including the Mississippi Bankers Association and he currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Business and Industry Political Education Committee (BIPEC).

Lacey and his wife Misty have two children, Grayson and Addie Hart.

Craig Espey has been promoted to Senior Vice President/Lender in Meridian. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University and the LSU Graduate School of Banking. He has been with the bank for three years.

Espey is Chairman of the East Mississippi Business Development Foundation’s Education Committee, immediate past-president of the Young Professionals of Meridian, a member of the Meridian Civitan Club, and a 2012 graduate of Leadership Lauderdale. He currently serves as Group 5 Council Member for the Mississippi Young Bankers.

Espey and his wife, Keely, have two children, Caroline and Amelia. They attend Pine Grove Church of Martin, where he is student pastor.

Sid Wilkinson has been promoted to president in Meridian. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga and has been with the bank for two years.

Wilkinson is active in the community. He is a member of the Rotary Club in Meridian. He has coached in the Meridian Youth Soccer Organization and he is also State Chairman for Distinguished Young Women of Mississippi.

Wilkinson and his wife, Angie, attend Jones Chapel Church of God in Meridian. They have two children, Allie and John Henry.
