Head of Class EMBDC recognizes Fall 2018 recipients for Lauderdale County high schools

The East Mississippi Business Development Corporation (EMBDC) recognized the 2018 Fall Head of the Class recipients from West Lauderdale, Northeast Lauderdale, Southeast Lauderdale and Clarkdale high school.
In an effort to promote the vocational and technical programs offered in the public schools in Meridian and Lauderdale County, the EMBDC recognizes students enrolled in these programs. Each semester, the schools are asked to submit the name of two students to be recognized as Head of the Class. One award will be for the career and technical student with the highest overall achievement, and the other will be for the career and technical student who shows the most improvement in grades, skill performance, and/or attitude.
The recipients for Lauderdale County School District are:
West Lauderdale High School – Highest Overall: Olivia Gray, Family Dynamics/Child Development. Most Improved: Kennedy Grayson, Nutrition & Wellness/Resource Management
Northeast High School – Highest Overall: Jay Youngblood, Marketing. Most Improved: Trevon Fuller, Career Pathway Experience
Southeast High School – Highest Overall: Aja Revels, Health Science II. Most Improved: Kayla Carter, Health Science II
Clarkdale High School – Highest Overall: Maggie Freeman, Marketing. Most Improved: Alex Smith, Business Fundamentals
