Bond lowered in Meridian shooting death

Bond was reduced for a suspect in a fatal shooting in Meridian Thursday.
Municipal Court Judge Robbie Jones reduced the bond for Andraeus Forrest, 32 of Meridian from $1 million to $250,000 during a preliminary hearing.
Forrest, who waived the hearing, is charged in the Jan. 20 shooting death of 28-year-old George Jackson, 28, near 30th Street and Sixth Avenue.
The incident started with a fight between Forrest and two people and escalated when the Forrest shot Jackson, police said at the time. The shooting was a result of a dispute that had been going for several weeks, police said.
