Forrest, who waived the hearing, is charged in the Jan. 20 shooting death of 28-year-old George Jackson, 28, near 30th Street and Sixth Avenue.

The incident started with a fight between Forrest and two people and escalated when the Forrest shot  Jackson, police said at the time. The shooting was a result of a dispute that had been going for several weeks, police said.
