Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday:
Trending
• Trespassing – Chris Graham, born in 1979, homeless.
• Malicious mischief – Shya Miles, born in 1991, 2205 Oakland Park Drive, Meridian.
• Shoplifting – Samuel E. Brewer, born in 1966, 3203 12th St., Meridian. Brewer is also charged with possession of controlled substance.
• Possession of marijuana – Benjamin K. Smith, born in 1995, 1646 Bolen Long Creek Road, Meridian.

• Meridian Police responded to 1 shot fired calls but when officers arrived on the scene, there was not any evidence found to support the calls.
Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 8:43 a.m. Wednesday.
• Burglary-dwelling house – Deion Betts, 23, 3117 Dale Savell Drive, Meridian.
• Felon in possession of a firearm – Levi Gibbs Jr., 48, 4628 East Prisock, Lauderdale.
• Possession of drugs while in possession of a firearm – Leathel Naylor, 49, 4301 Leroy Naylor Road, Lauderdale. Naylor is also charged with felon in possession of a firearm, simple assault on a police officer.
• Child restraint law – Sammie Lee Teachey, 50, 209 30th Ave., Meridian. Teachey is also charged with seatbelt violation, insurance card law in the vehicle, no driver’s license.
