- Who or what are you thankful for this year?
Human nature sometimes makes it easy for us to focus on the negative.
We rage on the road when another driver cuts us off. We moan when the grocery line moves too slowly. We say it’s too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter. We say there’s nothing to do and complain about lack of parking for a crowded community event.
Acknowledging the positives around us can take some extra effort, but we know you’re up to it.
The Meridian Star plans to recognize the positives around our community during Thanksgiving week and we need your help.
We’re asking you to share your reasons for thanksgiving.
We encourage you to share a story about a person, an organization, a place or thing that you appreciate and would like to publicly recognize.
Are you thankful for a neighbor who brings you meals, a park where your children play, a venue that provides an escape, a teacher who helps you learn, a supportive coach, a healthcare worker who eased your pain, a clerk who always greets you with a smile and brightens your day…?
There are many reasons to give thanks, we hope you will share yours with us and the community.
Please write us a note about your reason or reasons for thanks and email it to editor@themeridianstar.com. Include “Thanksgiving” in the subject line. Please include contact information so we can follow up.
We look forward to reading and sharing your reasons for thanks.
