Friday is the last day to pay delinquent land tax bills in Lauderdale County.

Property with unpaid taxes will be sold through an online sales tax auction, according to Lauderdale County Tax Collector Doris Spidle.

Names of property owners with unpaid tax bills were published Aug. 7 and 14 in The Meridian Star.

Tax bills must be paid with cash, money order or credit card at the tax collector’s office, 500 Constitution Ave., Meridian, Room 101. No checks will be accepted.

The online tax sale begins at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 27. Register for online bidding at www.govease.com.
