Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Monday:
• Aggravated domestic violence – Donnikie L. Rigsby, born in 1991, 921 27th Ave., Meridian.
• Driving under the influence/first offense – Melinda Wash, born in 1973, 310 East Tatum St., Newton. Wash is also charged with possession of a controlled substance.
• DUI/first – Zacarrius Clark, born in 1998, 3401 55th Pl., Meridian.
• Simple assault – Lorenzo Williams, born in 1974, 4320 36th Ave., Meridian.
• Simple assault/threat – Donald Galloway, born in 1960, 3000 28th St., Meridian.
• Domestic violence – Roby Curtis, born in 1992, 2220 35th Ave., Meridian. Curtis is also charged with DUI/third or subsequent.
• Simple assault/threat – Toshiba Johnson, born in 1979, 2212 32nd St., Meridian. Johnson is also charged with public profanity, disorderly conduct, abuse 911/15 counts, telephone harassment.
• Domestic violence – Melvin Kelly, born in 1984, 2800 St. Lukes St., Meridian.
• Disorderly conduct – David Smith, born in 1990, 2027 14th Ave., Meridian.
• Disorderly conduct – Ronnie L. Dunigan, born in 1980, homeless.
• Shoplifting – Cassandra Brown, born in 1963, 214 46th Ave., Meridian.
• DUI/first offense – Marshall Joyner, born in 1980, 4914 3rd Place, Meridian.
• Domestic violence – Robbin E. Gowdy, born in 1986, 3135 Thornton Road, Lauderdale.
• DUI/second offense – Dylan E. Swearingen, born in 1993, 8824 E. Parkway South, Lauderdale. Swearingen is also charged with possession of marijuana in a vehicle.
• Disturbance of a family – David Gordon, born in 1977, 3423 Grandview Ave., Meridian.
• Simple assault/threat – Demarcus Thompson, born in 1990, 2122 28th Ave., Meridian.
• Begging – Bradford Caldwell, born in 1990, homeless.
• Public drunk – Phillip Cooper, born in 1982, 115 41st St., Meridian.
• Disorderly conduct – Darren L. Houston, born in 1982, 51 School St., Pachuta.
• Resisting arrest – James A. Houston Jr., born in 1973, 602 39th Ave., Meridian. Houston is also charged with interfering with police.
• Malicious mischief – Drezden Scruggs, born in 1991, 12117 Hwy. 494, Collinsville.
• Domestic violence – Xavier D. Holt, born in 1996, 3007 Chandler St. #4, Meridian.
• DUI/other – Vdell Maye, born in 1997, 2318 32nd Ave., Meridian. Maye is also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possession of marijuana in a vehicle.
• Public profanity – John K. Brogan, born in 1980, 947 Hwy. 19S, Meridian. Brogan is also charged with public drunk, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest.
• Shoplifting – William C. Morgan, born in 1996, 3584 Knox Road, Meridian.
• DUI/first other – Justice J. Griffin, born in 1995, 3003 Grandview Ave., Meridian. Griffin is also charged with possession of marijuana in a vehicle.
• Disturbance of a family – Jimmy Lee Williams, born in 1991, 2457 40th Ave., Meridian.
• Possession of marijuana in a vehicle – Daniel W. Verhoeven, born in 1958, 9527 Withers Mill Way Warrenton, Va. Verhoeven is also charged with possession of paraphernalia.
• Simple assault/threat – Jalisa R. Silliman, born in 1996, 530 57th Ave., Meridian. Silliman is also charged with shoplifting.
• Simple assault – Carrio C. McNeil, born in 1989, 5406 1st St., Meridian. McNeil is also charged with shoplifting.

• 500 block of 52nd Ave. at 9:30 p.m.

Shootings
• 4100 block of 35th Ave. at 7:40 p.m.
• 1200 block of 27th St. at 11:36 p.m.
• Meridian Police responded to 5 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on the scene, only 2 showed evidence found to support the call.
Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday.
• Driving under the influence/first offense – Cardale Anthony, 29, 7134 Lauderdale/Toomsuba Rd., Toomsuba. Anthony is also charged with disregard of traffic device, improper equipment, tint law violation, possession of marijuana in a vehicle.
• No driver’s license – Montiz Brock, 27, 2304 10th Ave., Meridian.
• DUI/first offense – Marcus Allen Campbell, 33, 2131 Moore Place Road, Livingston, Ala. Campbell is also charged with disregard of traffic device, switched tag/license plate, no liability insurance, careless driving.
• Possession of marijuana less than 30 grams – Dustin Card, 25, 9773 Gipson Road, Collinsville. Card is also charged with improper equipment, no liability insurance.
• No driver’s license – Asia Tikae Carter, 25, 1505 35th Ave. Apt. A, Meridian. Carter is also charged with improper equipment.
• Contempt of court – William Chad Ethridge, 46, 512 A George Road, Collinsville.
• Possession of marijuana less than 30 grams – Madonna Frazier, 45, 10415 Rabbit Road, Lot #64, Lauderdale. Frazier is also charged with Ms. Compulsory School Attendance Law/two counts, sale of controlled substance.
• Suspended driver’s license – Anaaliea Iris Gomez, 28, 4534 Quail Road, Meridian.
• No driver’s license – Brandon Griffin, 19, 2414 Highland Ave., Meridian.
• DUI/first offense – Stuffon Eugene Hill, 23, 3012 St. Paul St. D-7, Meridian. Hill is also charged with improper equipment, tint law violation, littering, no driver’s license, no liability insurance, possession of marijuana/first offense.
• DUI/first offense – Mattie Latashia Hopson, 36, 8059 Land Toomsuba Road, Meridian. Hopson is also charged with no license tag, seat belt violation, bad check/felony.
• DUI/first offense – Kateesha Uniqua Keeton, 24, 359 Capstone Circle, Lisman, Ala. Keeton is also charged with failure to have vehicle under control.
• Suspended driver’s license – Timothy Franklin Kelly Jr., 28, 7301 D Lauderdale/Toomsuba Road, Toomsuba.
• Simple assault – Joromeo Maddox, 34, 511 6th St., Meridian. Maddox is also charged with failure to appear/ten counts.
• Suspended driver’s license – Jason Morgan Poe, 25, 7370 Pineridge Drive, Meridian.
• Felon in possession of a firearm/two counts – Devon Calloway Rackley, 41, 410 Oscar Grey Road, Butler, Ala. Rackley is also charged with burglary commercial building/two counts, burglary dwelling house.
• Failure to appear/two counts – Carla Joy Romero, 35, 3940 KOA Campground Road, Meridian.
• Aggravated assault/manifest extreme indifference to life – Jakoyius Ruffin, 14, 4100 35th Ave., Meridian.
• No driver’s license – Wendall Bradley Smith, 37, 2170 Wells Road, Little Rock, Miss.
• No driver’s license – Shyderica Taylor, 20, 2136 53rd Ave., Meridian. Taylor is also charged with disregard of traffic device, no liability insurance, child restraint law/two counts.
• No driver’s license – Joshua Dewayne Utley, 30, 2977 Rob Sims Road, Meridian. Utley is also charged with no license tag.
• No driver’s license – Derrick DeShawn Winn, 37, 5400 Manning St., Meridian.
