Bill Graham / The Meridian StarEddie Kelly, division manager for Mississippi Power’s Meridian Division, was honored during a reception Tuesday by Meridian Mayor Percy Bland, who proclaimed the day “Eddie Kelly Day.” Kelly, who is retiring after more than 35 years with Mississippi Power’s parent company, Southern Company, was known for his work with numerous local community and civic organizations. His successor, Michael Harvey, formerly the division manager in Hattiesburg, was also welcomed during the reception, which was held at The Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Experience.
