Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday:
• Counterfeit Instrument: Forgery/uttering – Rachel C. Horner, born in 1965, 6745 Hwy. 19N, Meridian.
• Shoplifting – Johnny M. Sublette, born in 1968, 3147 Officers Lake Rd., Meridian.
• Domestic violence – Melody B. Jimmie, born in 1999, 3500 Hwy. 39N, Apt. 74, Meridian.
• Trespassing – Frederik W. Waters, born in 1962, 2327 Whitaker Road, Meridian. Waters is also charged with shoplifting.
• Simple assault – Kearra Oliver, born in 1996, 3804 14th St., Meridian.
Incident Reports
The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Monday to Tuesday:
Commercial burglary
• 2100 block of 23rd Ave. at 9:17 a.m.
• Meridian Police responded to 2 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on the scene, there was not any evidence found to support the calls.
Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday.
• Probation violation/parole – Rhonda Michelle Currie (Henry), 43, 645 Azalea Drive, Meridian.
• False pretense/two counts – James Edward Morgan, 53, 4096 Butts Road, Toomsuba.
• Suspended driver’s license – Jimmie Davie Snowden, 54, 265 Truelight Road, Hickory. Snowden is also charged with no license tag, insurance card law in the vehicle.
• Felony DUI/three counts – Dajour Qushun Taylor, 26, 1000 Church Ave., Meridian.
• Probation violation/parole – Wesley Thrash, 37, 4732 East Crescent Lake Road, Meridian.
Fire Runs
The Meridian Fire Departments reported the following calls from Monday through Tuesday:
• Power line down, 58th Ave.
• Outside fire, 45th Ave.
• Arcing/shorted electrical equipment, Hwy. 45N.
• Vehicle accident, River Birch Drive.
• False alarm, Hwy. 45N.
• Vehicle accident, Texas Turnaround.
The Lauderdale County Volunteer Fire Departments reported the following calls from Monday through Tuesday:
• Motor vehicle accident, MM/165 (Toomsuba).
• Accident with injuries, Hwy. 493 (Bailey).
• Assist, Lauderdale/Toomsuba Road (Toomsuba).
• Accident with injuries, 2718 Hwy. 11/80 (Toomsuba).

Metro Ambulance reported 37 emergency runs Tuesday at 2 p.m.
