Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday:

• Telephone harassment – Megan Renee Lopian, 20, 4107 Hickory Hills Circle, Meridian.

• Felon in possession of a firearm – Michael Glenn Payne, 42, homeless.

• Disorderly conduct – Kenneth Thomas, born in 1995, 2447 4th Ave., Meridian.

• Simple assault – Sharika Pruitt, born in 1989, 2305 D St. C-4, Meridian.

• Simple assault/threat – Jakarria Gordon, born in 1997, 2520 Grandview Ave., Meridian. Gordon is also charged with malicious mischief.

• Domestic violence/two counts – Amhaud Hickman, born in 1998, 3404 Parkway Blvd., Meridian. Hickman is also charged with trespassing.

Auto burglary

• 100 block of South Frontage Road at 1:45 p.m.

Residential burglary

• 2900 block of 8th St. at 8 a.m.

• Meridian Police responded to 1 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on the scene, only one showed evidence to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday.

• Failure to appear – Jammie Brown, 42, 110 Collins Road, Stonewall.

• Failure to register as a sex offender, non-compliant – Jamarious Deangelo Burton, 28, 3305 12th Ave., Meridian.

• Burglary/dwelling house – Quentin Cortez Gordon, 37, 4201 Royal Road, Meridian.

• Possession of marijuana – James Gray Harrison, 22, 24601 Hwy. 80, Chunky. Harrison is also charged with probation violation/parole.

• Possession of marijuana – Kolbie Wayne Sheffield, 20, 1329 Providence Road, Chunky.
