Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday:

• Aggravated assault – Janie Marie Grady, 37, 1702 28th Ave., Meridian. Grady is also charged with burglary/commercial bldg.

• Aggravated domestic violence – Keiara McCoy, born in 1999, 1109 Grand Ave., Meridian.

• Trespassing/two counts – Amanda Day, born in 1989, 801 B St., Meridian. Day is also charged with malicious mischief, petit larceny.

• Disorderly conduct – Ciara Jennings, born in 1985, 2107 15th Ave., Meridian.

• Driving under the influence/second offense – Stephen W. Knop, born in 1985, 5231 31st Place, Meridian.

• Shoplifting/four counts – Jarrod Boykin, born in 1981, 1010 N. Frontage Road, Meridian. Boykin is also charged with trespassing/four counts, simple assault/threat.

• Public drunk – Yerby Hughes, born in 1949, 5074 Cedar Lake Drive, Meridian. Hughes is also charged with disorderly conduct.

• Disturbance of a family – Deandre Walker, born in 1995, 401 40th Ave., Meridian.

• Petit larceny – Alfonzo McDonald, born in 1986, 2309 43rd Ave., Meridian. McDonald is also charged with simple assault.

• Interference with police – Mary C. Robertson, born in 1996, 1004 15th St., Meridian.

• Disorderly conduct – Demetric Young, born in 1987, 1616 13th Ave., Meridian. Young is also charged with resisting arrest, public drunk, possession of controlled substance.

The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Monday to Tuesday:

Shootings

• 3700 block of Paulding St. at 8:54 p.m.

• 600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive at 10:59 p.m.

• Meridian Police responded to 4 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on scene, only 2 showed evidence to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday.

• Failure to pay – James Odis Busby, 72, 7299 Duffee/Chunky Road, Chunky.

• No driver’s license – James Charles Harbin, 54, 5275 Water Valley Road A., Meridian. Harbin is also charged with petit larceny, malicious mischief/vandalism.

• Driving under the influence/first offense – Crystal Leverette, 41, 1825 Burnt Oak Drive, Ocean Springs, Miss.

• Failure to appear – Cody Allan Spears, 31, 3284 A Cedar Lane, Toomsuba.

• Possession of cocaine – Cordarro D. Tingle, 30, 602 56th Ave., Meridian.

• DUI/first offense – Nicola Deron Webster, 23, 1851 Bunk Newell Road A., Meridian.
