Mt. Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Meridian was founded in 1940 by the Rev. J. B. Peters. Rebuilt in 1946, the church’s past pastors were the Revs. J. B. Peters, Lloyd Smith, Sammie Bourrage, Ronnie Walk, and Richard Wilson Jr.

The current pastor, Rev. Tory Teon Moore, says his goal as the pastor is to see membership increase, to become full-time in the ministry of the church, make building improvements to the campus, and acquire a church van.

On July 1, at 2:30 p.m. Mt. Valley MBC will have its “Our Family and Friends Day Program” with guest speaker the Rev. Kevin Temple of Belmount MBC DeKalb. Pastor Rev. Tory Moore invites the community to the service.
