Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday:
• Counterfeit instrument/forgery – Matthew J. Raines, born in 1985, 2915 Schanrock Road, Meridian.
• Aggravated assault – Devon J. Smith, born in 1998, 3406 35th Ave., Meridian. Smith is also charged with shooting into a dwelling, shooting into a vehicle.
• Aggravated assault – Enriek M. Hall, Jr., born in 1998, 2829 32nd Ave., Meridian. Hall is also charged with shooting into a dwelling, shooting into a vehicle.
• Shoplifting – Nathaniel Salazar, born in 1989, 4289 Hwy. 496, Toomsuba.
• Shoplifting – Thomas Boswell, born in 1968, 2323 Hwy. 496, Meridan.
• Disorderly conduct – Andrell S. Taylor, born in 1981, 4601 Arthur St., Meridian. Taylor is also charged with interfering with police.
• Driving under the influence – Tyrone Rush, born in 1982, 2610 Highland Ave., Meridian.
• Possession of controlled substance – Alicia Yates, born in 1986, 283 Harper Road, Meridian.

The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Tuesday to Wednesday:
• Meridian Police responded to 2 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on the scene, there was not any evidence to support the calls.
Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 8:43 a.m. Wednesday.
• Contempt of court – Melissa Amanda Dew, 38, 1398 Will Wright Road, Meridian.
• Felony DUI – Joseph Scott Dicks, 44, 4148 Bailey Acres, Meridian.
• Failure to pay – Cleveland Rogers Gathright, 68, 360 Old Causeyville Road, Meridian.
• False pretense – Steven Neil Robinson, 29, 5890 Oak St., Meridian.
• Trespassing – Thomas Kevin Dewayne Smith, 23, 20230 Hwy. 80, Hickory.
• Simple assault – Summer A. Thomas, 30, 12816 Richardson Road, Collinsville. Thomas is also charged with telephone harassment.
• Probation violation/parole – John Henry Wallace, 52, 2704 Valley Road. Lot 33, Meridian.
• No driver’s license – Phillip Anthony Williams Jr., 37, 1103 39th Ave., Meridian.
