Harvey Griffin pitched six strong innings for Clarkdale, but Richton was able to come away with a 5-4 walkoff win in the bottom of the ninth Monday in Game 3 of the first round of the MHSAA Class 2A playoffs.

The loss ended the Bulldogs’ season. They finished 9-17 on the year.

Griffin surrendered just two earned runs on three hits while striking out two and walking three.

Easton Rainer went 2-for-3 with a double for Clarkdale, while Ethan Gunner finished 2-for-3 as well. James Harwell was 2-for-5.

The score was 4-4 at the end of seven innings.
