Celebrating Cochran; endorsing Hyde-Smith

Being a Mississippian always brings pride to my heart! However, recent events in our state have caused my Mississippi pride to soar to new and lasting heights!

The opportunity to reflect on the stellar career of our statesman Thad Cochran and his awesome contributions to our state and our people through his steadfast conservative representation brings emotions of gratitude, appreciation and pride. Thank you Senator for your amazing service.

Watching the process of our esteemed Gov. Phil Bryant as he meticulously considered and evaluated the service and leadership of many outstanding Mississippians keeping his keen eye on his ultimate goal of making the best decision for our state brought my pride to a new level. His courageous appointment of Cindy Hyde-Smith was a stroke of genius. He brought to us the best of our best to continue our tradition and outstanding representation in the U.S. Senate, our first female senator, a seasoned leader with vitality and experience and potential to lead us into great accomplishments. So proud of Governor Bryant!

I am very proud to endorse Cindy Hyde-Smith as our new senator. I have known Cindy for over 30 years. I first met her when we both worked for The American Cancer Society, Mississippi Division. Since then I have watched her career as a servant of the people of Mississippi guided by her strong conservative values. untiring work ethic, knowledge of our state snd our people and desire to bring positive change.

Cindy has served as a state senator and two terms as Mississippi Commissioner of Agriculture. She is recognized statewide and nationally for her leadership and guidance in the largest economic factor in our state-Agriculture.

She has delivered for Mississippi through helping reopen the market in China for American beef exports, leading efforts to ensure inspection of foreign catfish imports by USDA and running a model agency with effectiveness while implementing cost saving measures.

Cindy’s documented record speaks volumes of her conservative values , accomplishments and potential. There is a new cowgirl in town and she needs our support as we enter a new era of leadership and continued outstanding service to our state and nation. I am proud to ride with Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith!
