Offense powers West Lauderdale to 12-3 win over Meridian

Four West Lauderdale players tallied multi-hit efforts Saturday as the Knights picked up a 12-3 win over Meridian.
Austin Davidson, Hunter Eldridge, Kameron Partridge and Brandon Andreacchio contributed two hits apiece to lead the Knights offense. Davidson swatted a game-high two RBIs.
Eldridge, Luke and Partridge earned extra-base hits, and Luke stole two bases.
Winning pitcher Mason Willis pitched four innings and surrendered four hits and one earned run. He fanned five Meridian hitters and didn’t allow any walks.
Jarvis Cole went 2-for-3 for Meridian and added an RBI. Davoreyon Hill contributed the Wildcats’ other RBI.
Eldridge tallied an RBI single in the top of the first to score Brett Mason and give the Knights a quick 1-0 lead. In the top of the third, Braden Luke had an RBI double, he scored on an error and the Wildcats walked in a West Lauderdale run to give the Knights a 4-0 lead. Additional runs by Chase Tilghman, Turbo McKee and Partridge extended West Lauderdale’s lead to 7-0 at the end of the frame.
In the top of the fourth, Luke stole home, Andreacchio and Davidson provided RBI singles, and Andreacchio and Ben Ethridge scored on errors.
Meridian’s Cole smacked an RBI double in the bottom of the third, and Hill added a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth.
West Lauderdale out-hit Meridian 12-4 and finished with four errors to Meridian’s five.
West Lauderdale moved to 13-1 on the season, and Meridian fell to 0-10.
