Tuesday, March 6

• 10 a.m. – Baby/Toddler Presentation by Happy Smiles at the Meridian Lauderdale County Public Library. Chess Club meets at 4:30 p.m.

• Noon-5 p.m. – The MSU Psychology Club in Meridian will sponsor a blood drive with Mississippi Blood Services at the Mississippi State University Campus in Meridian. Donors will receive a T-shirt (while supplies last).

• 7:30 p.m. -Vibrant, passionate dancing imbued with the experiences of African-American women will reach out from the stage of the MSU Riley Center as Urban Bush Women perform. Tickets are $39 and $33 at the MSU Riley Center Box Office, which is open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. • 3 p.m. – East Central Community College will dedicate the Lucille Wood Tennis Court at the college’s new Tennis Complex on the campus in Decatur. The public is invited to attend the dedication ceremony.

• 7 p.m. – The DAV (Disabled American Veterans) will meet at the Kendallwood Bldg (Highland Park) on 19th St. and 41st Ave. There will be a potluck meal at 6:30 p.m. with each person bringing something with them for the meal.
