A small handful of area fast-pitch softball players were selected to the Mississippi Association of Coaches’ All-Star game, the organization announced Thursday on its official Twitter feed.

Newton County’s Shelby Anderson and Brittany Thomas both made the 4A/5A/6A South Team, as did West Lauderdale’s Lexie Smith. Neshoba Central’s Rivers Gray and Aspen Wesley were selected to the 4A/5A/6A North roster.

Enterprise head coach Davey Dewitt and assistant coach Jeremy Wilkins were both named head coach and assistant coach of the 1A/2A/3A South Team, respectively, and the Lady Bulldogs’ Hannah Herrington and Maycee Knight made the team’s roster. For the 1A/2A/3A roster, Philadelphia’s Tyesha Cole was selected.

The All-Star games will be played Friday, June 1, and Saturday, June 2, at Jones County Junior College in Ellisville.
