West Lauderdale fell 59-48 vs Bay High on Tuesday night in the first round of the boys MHSAA Class 4A playoffs. 

Bay High started of on a strong note, jumping out to a 9-7 lead  in the first quarter. Tucker Atkinson then hit a 3 to give West its first lead of the game 10-9, but that would also be the only time the Knights were ahead, as Bay built up a 24-19 advantage by halftime.

Zach Merrell made a 3 to cut the lead to 31-28 early in the third for West Lauderdale, but Bay stretched the lead out to nine at the end of the frame. Atkinson hit another 3 to cut the lead back down to nine with two minutes left in the game, but that’s the closest the Knights would get. 

The Knights finished the season 16-10.
