Grateful for response at Diversicare

On Monday, Feb. 12, the patients, residents and team members of Diversicare of Meridian were briefly evacuated due to a small fire in a patient’s room. Although center team members were able to extinguish the fire, fire crews promptly responded to inspect the building. Once fire crews determined there was no danger, our patients, residents and team members were cleared to reenter the center.

I want to thank the Meridian Fire Department, Metro Ambulance Service, Lauderdale Emergency Management Association, representatives of the City of Meridian and all of the area emergency response teams who came to our aid. Each of you went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our center was safe for us to occupy.

Your commitment and dedication to serving others is evident and admirable. I now realize that our community is in great hands with Meridian’s first responders.

A heartfelt thank you from me, our team members, our patients and residents, and their families. I am grateful for your dedication to serving others.
