Lynn Fitch, the state treasurer, and the Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors will host an event that allows residents to search for unclaimed property and funds from the state.

“Events like these in Winona, Myrtle, and Pearl last November helped reunite people in those towns with over $60,000,” Fitch said in a statement. “What a great boost for their family budgets and for the local economies. It is a pleasure to work with mayors, supervisors, legislators, and others to help people claim money the State is holding for them. Unclaimed property specialists will help residents navigate the lists, complete the claim forms and notarize paperwork.
