The Mississippi Recycling Coalition’s annual Mississippi Recycling Awareness Day is planned from 1-3:30 p.m. on Feb. 7 at the Mississippi State Capitol

According to a MRC press release, Keep Mississippi Beautiful will co-host the event, which will include an ice cream social with state legislators and other elected officials in the first-floor rotunda of the capitol building.

MRC will also recognize the state’s “Recyclers of the Year” for 2017 at 1:15 p.m. with the annual “Environmental Hero” awards, which recognize “extraordinary recycling efforts among business, government and institutions in the state,” the release said.
