Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Tuesday, and 6 a.m. Thursday:
• Grand larceny – Justice Griffin, born in 1995, 3003 Grand Ave., Meridian. Griffin is also charged with unlawful for any person to abuse/neglect.
• Public drunk – Emil Castignanie, born in 1985, homeless.
• Driving under the influence/second offense – Rickey Drake, born in 1971, 3721 Highland Ave., Meridian. Drake is also charged with no driver’s license.
• Disorderly conduct – Raheem Blanks, born in 1993, 1944 Old Marion Road, Meridian.
• Simple assault/domestic – Erik Ragsdale, born in 1983, 1120 28th Ave., Meridian.
• DUI – Kentzevas Flowers, born in 1994, 404 Lincoln Ave., Hollandale. Flowers is also charged with no insurance, careless driving.
• Possession of marijuana – Javon Brown, born in 1998, 28114 6th Ave., Delpine, Ala.
• Shoplifting – James Curry, born in 1979, 127 57th Ave., Meridian.
• Telephone harassment – Amanda Hudson, 3461 Hwy. 11/80, Meridian. Hudson is also charged with willful trespassing.
• Shoplifting – Anthony Evans, born in 1996, 1408 46th Ave., Meridian.
• Simple assault/threat – Felecia Cooper, born in 1994, 710 46th Ave., Meridian. Cooper is also charged with telephone harassment.

The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Thursday through Friday:
Stolen vehicles
• 6400 block of Hwy. 39 North at 1:04 p.m.
• Meridian Police responded to 01 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was not any evidence found to support the calls.
Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Thursday and 8:43 a.m. Friday.
• Probation violation/parole – Jeremy DeWayne Daniels, 31, 5001 Cypress Creek Ave. East Apt. 1107, Tuscaloosa, Ala.
• MS Compulsory School Attendance Law – Amanda Kay Hudson, 28, 3461 B Hwy. 11/80, Toomsuba.
• Driving under the influence/third offense – Matthew Page Lee, 28, 1430 A Long Creek Road, Meridian. Lee is also charged with no driver’s license, no liability insurance.
• Possession of methamphetamine with intent – Richard Darrell Long, 52, 6325 Bouge Flower Road, Chunky.
• Possession of drugs while in possession of a firearm – Alfonzo LaShawn McDonald, 31, 1735 45th Ave. B, Meridian.
• Possession of marijuana/less than 30 grams – Lorenzo Chase Powell, 18, 7346 Old Country Rd. Club Place, Meridian.
• Speeding – Vernon Terrell Scott Jr., 23, 1746 Running Water Rd., Meridian. Scott is also charged with suspended driver’s license, expired license tag.
• Possession of spice – Raven Dane Spears, 25, 2342 Crabapple Dr., Meridian. Spears is also charged with contempt of court.
• Simple assault on a police officer – Kimberly Rochelle Stevens, 36, 6227 Oakland Park St., Meridian.
• Suspended driver’s license – Dustin Kyle Underwood, 30, 2167 B Wilkerson Loop, Meridian.
• Domestic violence/simple assault – Carryl Nell Waite, 38, 370 Old Causeyville Road, Meridian.
• Suspended driver’s license – Carryl Nell Waite, 38, 370 Old Causeyville Road, Meridian. Waite is also charged with child restraint law, improper equipment.
