Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Tuesday:

• Contributing to the neglect of a child – Sherrod Grace, born in 1997, 2724 4th Ave., Meridian.

• Shooting into a vehicle – Zyquan Lemon, born in 1999, 1903 26th Ave., Meridian. Lemon is also charged with streetgang act; criminal street gang.

• Public drunk – Emil Castrgnanic, born in 1984, 1110 Terry Lane, De Pere, Wisconsin. Castrgnanic is also charged with disorderly conduct.

• Possession of marijuana – Jewqyosi Warren, born in 1997, 613 29th Ave., Meridian.

• Trespassing – Jerry Griffin, born in 1957, 613 42nd Ave. Meridian.

• Simple assault/domestic – Antryaan Hopson, born in 1998, 3503 42nd St. Meridian.

• Shoplifting – Samantha Gist, born in 1982, 1747 Skyline Road, Meridian.

• Simple assault/domestic – Benjamin Ruffin, born in 1984, 5808 Mosby Road, Meridian.

Shootings

• 900 block of Fulton Ave. at 12:21 p.m.

• Meridian Police responded to 9 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was not any evidence found to support the calls.

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday.

• Failure to appear – Charles Frank Brown, 29, 2704 Valley Road, Lot #53, Meridian.

• Child restraint law – Kadaisha J. Brown, 23, 1529 50th Ave., Meridian. Brown is also charged with no license tag, no driver’s license, no liability insurance.

• Driving under the influence/first offense – Othell Brown Jr., 35, 12034 Burrage Road, Enterprise. Brown is also charged with no driver’s license, no liability insurance.

• DUI/first offense – Shane J. Campbell, 39, 235 Salem Road, Forest. Campbell is also charged with disregard of traffic device.

• Possession of paraphernalia – Fredez Leanders Clark Sr., 24, 1004 15th St., Meridian. Clark is also charged with no license tag, improper equipment, no driver’s license, probation/violation.

• No driver’s license – Markeos Devangela Davis, 40, 434 Austin St., Philadelphia.

• DUI/first offense – James Eric Duke, 29, 1029 North 3rd Ave., Laurel. Duke is also charged with careless driving, seat belt violation, no liability insurance, no driver’s license.

• No driver’s license – Derrick L. Gordon, 40, 906 27th Ave. S 156, Meridian.

• False ID information – Terry R. Harrington, 28, 1421 14th Ave., Meridian.

• DUI/first offense – Tonya Lee Harwell, 49, 10920 A Hwy. 39 North, Bailey.

• DUI/first offense – Allen V. Harwell, 58, 8564 Johnny Bailey Road, Bailey.

• DUI/first offense – Rubio Fortunato Hernandez, 30, 4814 Valley Road, Meridian. Hernandez is also charged with disregard of traffic device, no driver’s license, no liability insurance.

• No driver’s license – LaShonda S. Lewis, 32, 4509 25th St., Meridian. Lewis is also charged with seat belt violation/two counts.

• DUI/first offense – Edwina M. Mathis, 35, 900 27th Ave., Meridian. Mathis is also charged with careless driving, improper passing.

• DUI/first offense – Rheon McWilliams, 18, improper lane usage, no driver’s license, seat belt violation/three counts. possession of marijuana in vehicle.

• Burglary of commercial building/two counts – Robert Norman Munn, 26, 383 Briarwood Road, Lot 62, Meridian.

• Failure to appear/seven counts – Antonio O. Reed, 46, 123 Oneway Road, Butler, Ala.

• DUI/first offense – Loyd David Short, 55, 10318 Cow Creek Road, Meridian. Short is also charged with no driver’s license, no liability insurance.
