MSU-Meridian to offer Professional MBA program

Area professionals will soon be able to enroll in a Mississippi State University–Meridian MBA program.
The university’s Meridian Division of Business will begin offering courses in the summer toward a Professional MBA. The flexible graduate program will offer each semester two to three courses taught face-to-face or a blended learning format, which allows students to participate in class from a different location.

Natasha Randle, MSU-Meridian associate professor who directs the program, said it is designed to allow for flexibility for students work and life activities. Students in the program can earn a degree in just more than two years.
Graduate students with five years of professional experience can apply for a waiver to bypass the GMAT/GRE exam requirement. Courses will be taught in the Deen Building at the MSU Meridian Riley campus.

MSU-Meridian will hold interest meeting on the Professional Master of Business Administration program at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 23 in room 201 at the Deen Building, 2212 5th St. The meeting will provide information about the new program, application process, also also include refreshments and a tour of the building. “This is a program for someone who has been working for a while in the professional world who would like to earn a MBA,” said Natasha Randle, who directs the program.
Students in the program will have access to the school’s close working relationship with the East Mississippi Business Development Corporation and other area business organizations. Students will also have access to the MSU Small Business Development Center at the Riley campus and the MSU career center to assist with professional job opportunities.
Application deadlines are May 1 for the summer, Aug. 1 for the fall and Nov. 1 for the spring.
