Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Thursday and 8:43 a.m. Friday.

• Driving under the influence – Ernesto Emmanuel Allen, 26, 12801 Quitman/Meridian Hwy. Allen is also charged with leaving the scene of an accident, no liability insurance, expired tag, no driver’s license.

• Possession of marijuana in a vehicle – Antonio Lenard Jones, 34, 113 Dogwood St., Meridian. Jones is also charged with seat belt violation/two counts, child restraint law, no liability insurance, driving with suspended license.

• No driver’s license – Shayila Smith, 20, 2704 Valley Rd., Lot #79, Meridian. Smith is also charged with improper equipment.

• Burglary of a commercial building – Kenyatta T. Walker, 22, 1426 30th Ave., Meridian.

• Medical assist, 47th Avenue.

Metro Ambulance reported 33 emergency runs Friday at 2 p.m.
