Maynor to retire from First State Bank Meridian

Tom C. Maynor will retire from First State Bank Meridian after ten years of service, Henry E. (Buster) Thomas, the bank’s president has announced.

Maynor began his banking career in 1977 at Merchants and Farmers Bank in Meridian. He retired from Deposit Guaranty National Bank in 1999 after twenty-two years of service. Tom is a former member of First State Bank’s Board of Directors.

He is past president of the Meridian Chamber of Commerce, The Meridian Rotary Club and the Choctaw Area Council Boy Scouts of America. He is Elder Emeritus at First Presbyterian Church in Meridian.

Maynor is married to the former Ann Mangum of Waynesboro. The couple has four children and ten grandchildren. He will continue to be associated with Anderson Hospital-South Campus at the Tom C. Maynor Rehabilitation Center.
