• Felon in possession of a firearm – Jacarus DeShawn Goodwin, 23, 3101 36th Ave., Meridian.

• Contempt of court – Matthew Antonio Scott, 25, 299 Glenn Ave., Quitman.

• Failure to register as a sex offender – George Ranald Williams, 51, 2702 11th St., Meridian.

• Shoplifting – David Holder, born in 1988, homeless.

• Shoplifting – Linda Benamon, born in 1972, 130 Chambling Creek Road.

• Shoplifting – Talisha Cole, born in 1979, 4726 1st St.

• Shoplifting – Matthew Scott, born in 1992, 299 J. Glenn.

• Shoplifting – Christopher Alexander, born in 1984, 1935 24th Ave.

The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Monday to Tuesday:

Robbery

• 400 block of Lake Dr. at 5:02 p.m.

Residential burglary

• 1300 block of 30th Ave. at 7:14 a.m.

• 300 block of 59th Ave. at 6:36 p.m.

• Meridian Police responded to 01 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was not any evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday.

• No driver’s license – Demarcus M. Atterberry, 29, 1514 9th Ave., Meridian. Atterberry is also charged with careless driving.

• Grand larceny – Patrick Lewis Barnett, 27, 640 North Jackson Ave., Quitman.

• Grand larceny – Paula Carol Barnett, 48, 640 North Jackson Ave., Quitman.

• Probation violation/parole – William Dew, 43, 21291 Dearwood Road, Kiln.

• Possession of stolen firearm – Wesley Scott Hillhouse, 24, 527 Providence Rd., Chunky.

• Contempt of court – Justin Roy House, 34, 3699 Louise Drive, Lauderdale.

• Felon in possession of a firearm – Clifton Dewayne James, 31, 5803 5th St., Meridian.

• No driver’s license – Keila Michelle McMullen, 34, 2279 Jeff Davis School Road, Meridian.

• Suspended driver’s license – Larry Eugene Smith, 30, 114 Meadow St., York, Ala. Smith is also charged with careless driving.

• Armed robbery – Christopher Michael Sullivan, 19, 5340 Vimville/Causeyville Road, Meridian.

• Possession of synthetic cathinones with intent – Garyeon Dequita Timmons, 32, 515 Martin Luther King Dr., Meridian. Timmons is also charged with failure to appear.

• Grand larceny – Paul R. Ward, 38, 827 North Jackson Ave., Quitman.
