The Quitman School District school board has selected Toriano Holloway to serve as the district’s new superintendent. Holloway, who was chosen at Monday’s school board meeting, will begin work on Jan. 1, said Board President William Price.
“It helps that he has a lot of central office experience,” Price said in a telephone interview.
Holloway, who will have a three-year contract, will be coming from the Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District. In Starkville, he serves as assistant superintendent for federal programs and operations, according to the Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District’s website. He earned a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi, according to the Quitman School District website.
Holloway will replace Interim Superintendent Charles Lynn Weathersby.
