Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday:

• Trespassing – Martha Nicholas, born in 1950, 10205 Chunky Duffee Road, Chunky.

• Simple assault – Charles Brown, born in 1971, 10831 A Brainsione Road.

• Public profanity – Jacob Currie, born in 1997, 3485 Hwy.11/80. Currie is also charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, public profanity.

• Shoplifting – Lisa Griffith, born in 1972, 202 Sharp St.

• Shoplifting – Cherry Hayes, born in 1962, 1400 Hwy. 21.

• Shoplifting – Annie Hardy, born in 1955, 10205 Chunky Duffee Road, Chunky. Hardy is also charged with trespassing.

• Carry concealed weapon – Dillon Copeland, born in 1999, 216 Myers St. Copeland is also charged with possession of marijuana.

• Identity theft – Frank Edward White, 28, 157 West Levwoods Drive, Jackson. White is also charged with Burglary-commercial bldg.

Incident Reports

The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Wednesday to Thursday:

Residential burglary

• 2400 block of 35th Ave. at 2:35 p.m.

• 2900 block of 14th St. at 6:09 p.m.

• Meridian Police responded to 1 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was not any evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Wednesday and 8:43 a.m. Thursday.

• Welfare fraud-Medicaid – Jennifer Lynn McMillan, 47, 1129 Hwy. 2, Westville, Fla. McMillan is also charged bad check felony/two counts.

• Sexual battery – Talon Sterling Price, 18, 103 Paul Ave., Newton.

• Simple assault on a police officer/felony – James Robert Reynolds, 29, 1501 Military Ave., Vicksburg.

• Child support/failure to pay – Rodrick Lavon Silliman, 25, 9537 Myers Road, Lauderdale.

Burglary

• 1683 Sam Lackey Road, Meridian.

Suspicious vehicle

• 140 Mt. Horeb Road, Meridian.

Theft

• 7421 State Blvd. Ext., Meridian.

Assault

• Morgan Road, Meridian.

The Meridian Fire Departments reported the following calls from Wednesday.

• Vehicle accident, 17th St.

• False alarm, Hwy. 19 North.

Metro Ambulance reported 32 emergency runs Thursday at 2 p.m.
