Three local basketball players were named to The Clarion-Ledger’s Dandy Dozen lists in boys and girls basketball.

Meridian High School senior guard Tyron Brewer was selected to the Jackson-based newspaper’s boys Dandy Dozen list. The article lists him as 6-foot-6 with Wichita State, UConn and Ole Miss as his top college choices.

Choctaw Central, meanwhile, had the Grant twins, Kyarrah and Kyannah Grant, make the girls Dandy Dozen. The article lists them both as 5-foot-8 senior guards. Kyarrah Grant is interested in Kilgore CC, Highland CC, Garner-Webb, Alcorn State, Mississippi Valley State, Jones CC, Southwest CC, Pearl River CC, Meridian CC and EMCC, according to the article. Kyannah Grant, meanwhile, has Kilgore CC, Highland CC, Garner-Webb, Alcorn, Mississippi Valley, Jones CC, Southwest CC, Pearl River CC, Meridian CC and EMCC listed as her college choices.
