Horstman will be the keynote speaker when Meridian Community College will pay tribute to veterans with a special ceremony in the Graham Gymnasium on the campus. The public is invited to attend. In addition to the keynote speaker’s talk, Dan McFadden of CertainTeed Corp will present the occasion speech.

7 a.m. – East Central Community College will honor military veterans by hosting its Military Appreciation Breakfast on the Decatur campus. The event begins with a complimentary breakfast at 7 a.m. in the Gold Room of Mabry Cafeteria. The keynote address for the breakfast will be given by Maj. Gen. Janson D. • 9 a.m.-noon – New Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church will hold its 1st Men’s Conference with the theme being “The Empowerment of Man.” There will be several dynamic speakers that will speak on topics that are designed to help empower men spiritually, physically and mentally.
