Lauderdale County Coroner Clayton Cobler identified the victim from Friday’s fatal shooting as Tony Maurice Wilson of Meridian.

Police found Wilson, 36, inside a white compact car Friday night around 10:30 p.m. on the 3900 block of Railroad Street after a passerby called police about its presence. 

Wilson suffered a gunshot wound and an autopsy will be performed at the state crime lab in Pearl this week, according to police.

On Monday afternoon, no further details were available and no suspects had been named.
