Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Wednesday and 8:43 a.m. Thursday:
• Telephone harassment – Samuel D. Jennings, 25, 4921 Otis Seal Drive, Meridian.
• Contempt/child support – Steven Lee Nance, 40, 148 Mt. Horeb Road, Meridian. Nance is also charged with contempt of court.

• Brush fire, MM/160 (Meehan, Toomsuba).
• Emergency medical service, Highway 19 (Suqualena).
