The Meridian Police Department reported an armed robbery early Wednesday morning just after midnight at a Circle K gas station. 

Around 12:20 a.m., police responded to an armed robbery at the gas station, at 1408 Roebuck Drive, after a man walked in and demanded money from the cashier, Meridian Sgt. Dareall Thompson said. 

The man, described as a black man approximately 5-foot-8 dressed in all red, fled on foot with some cash and other store items toward the nearby Waffle House, Thompson said. 

Thompson said police would review video and release an image of the man to the public.
