Care Lodge Domestic Violence Shelter members are planning “a celebration of freedom for survivors and families affected by domestic violence” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, at Dumont Plaza in Meridian.
A bubble release at noon will honor people whose lives have been lost due to domestic violence, according to a news release from Care Lodge.
Honors are also planned for law enforcement officers who have fallen in the line of duty while responding to domestic abuse calls.
Refreshments will be served throughout the day.
