Lauderdale County Chief Deputy Tax Assessor Whitney Hodges confirmed the name Stribling Equipment, LLC on the tax rolls for the 12.79-acre site.

Located on H Street about a mile and a half from the airport, the land was purchased in 2011 from Maples Gas Company, Inc.

Stribling Equipment is a “one-stop shop for new and used equipment sales, parts, service, rentals and training” for brands such as John Deere, Sakai, and Hitachi, according to its website.

Among Stribling’s 20 stores in Mississippi, Tennessee and Arkansas is its current Meridian location at 125 Highway 11.

The Meridian Star was unable to confirm the company’s intended purpose for the site, and no information as to a projected completion date was available Friday.
